SYRGIS® PERFORMANCE INITIATORS INCREASES PEROXIDE PRICES
Stockholm, Sweden (April 8, 2011) – Syrgis® Performance Initiators AB has announced a price increase, effective May 15, 2011 or as contracts and agreements allow, for its Andonox®, Norox®, Pulcat®, and Benox® organic peroxide product lines sold to the composites and allied markets in Europe and the Middle East. The products affected include methyl ethyl ketone peroxides, benzoyl peroxide, acetylacetone peroxide, and specialty blends. The Euro based prices for all products in these lines will increase 8 to12 percent depending on formulation. The prices for other currencies will be further adjusted to reflect currency fluctuations.
“We have experienced tremendous increases in costs and tightness in supply of many of our key raw materials” says Benny Fahrman, general manager for Syrgis Performance Initiators, Europe. “Our manufacturing team has been able to implement process improvements to offset a portion of the increase, but not all. I am confident that our sales and technical teams will continue to identify process improvements to offset the impact of these costs for our customers.”
Syrgis’ regional sales managers will be in contact with the company’s valued distributors and customer base to discuss this increase in detail.
