Norox® MEKP - 925 RED

Chemical Name:
methyl ethyl ketone peroxide composition

Norox MEKP-925 RED has a high MEKP dimer content that gives excellent performance in most vinyl ester resins. Also performs well when used with general purpose ortho and isophthallic resins. Norox MEKP-925 RED should be considered when an initiator is desired for use with most all resin types.

Application Details:

Excellent cure initiator for both unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins.

Norox® MEKP - 925 FRED

Chemical Name:
methyl ethyl ketone peroxide

MEKP-925 FRED has a high MEKP dimer content that gives excellent performance in most vinyl ester resins. It also performs well when used with general purpose ortho and isophthallic resins.

Application Details:

MEKP-925 FRED is formulated to be an excellent cure initiator for both unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins. With most unsaturated polyesters, it gives longer gel and gel to cure times, but with a higher peak exotherm than Norox MEKP-9, particularly in thick sections.

Norox® 500

Chemical Name:
T-butylperoxy, 5-trimethyl cyclohexane
CAS Numbers:
6731-36-8

Norox 500 is a solution of 1,1-di(t-butylperoxy)-3,3,5-trimethyl cyclohexane with a minimum assay of 90%.

Application Details:

Norox 500 is used as a polymerization initiator. It can also be used as a cross-linking agent for various olefinic polymers or co-polymers as well as a vulcanizing agent for synthetic rubbers and a high temperature curing agent for unsaturated polyester resins.

Norox® FS-100/9

Chemical Name:
methyl ethyl ketone peroxide
CAS Numbers:
1338-23-4

Norox FS-100/9 is an MEKP formulation high in hydrogen peroxide content that provides fast gel and green strength development.

Application Details:

Norox FS-100/9 is primarily used in highly filled resin systems. It is not recommended for gel coats or vinyl ester resins.

Norox® 771

Chemical Name:
methyl ethyl ketone peroxide & cumyl hydroperoxide
CAS Numbers:
1338-23-4 & 80-15-9

Norox 771 is a solution of methyl ethyl ketone peroxides and cumyl hydroperoxide in phlegmatizer.

Application Details:

Norox 771 is an excellent liquid polymerization initiator for the room temperature cure of unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins, when a low peak exotherm is desired.

Andonox® 7030

Chemical Name:
peroxide mixtures

Andonox® 7030 is a mixture of ketone peroxides with dimethyl phthalate as a phlegmatiser.

Application Details:

Andonox® 7030 is an initiator for the curing of most polyester resins at both room - and elevated temperatures. It is best suited for singly promoted resins using cobalt promotion alone.

Norox® TBPB

Chemical Name:
tertiary-butyl peroxybenzoate
CAS Numbers:
614-45-9

NOROX TBPB is a liquid, high purity form of tertiary-Butyl Peroxybenzoate.

Application Details:

Norox TBPB is a highly efficient source of free radicals at moderate to high temperatures and can be used as a polymerization or co-polymerization initiator to produce polyethylene, polystyrene and polyacrylates.

Norox® W-60

Chemical Name:
methyl ethyl ketone peroxide
CAS Numbers:
1338-23-4

Norox W-60 is a cure initiator formulated for room temperature cure of polyester resins, particularly where water is present.

Application Details:

Norox W-60 works well in any application where high amounts of water are present. Combining fast gel times with moderate cure profiles, it is not recommended for gel coats.

Norox® TBHP

Chemical Name:
tertiary-butyl hydroperoxide
CAS Numbers:
75-91-2

NOROX TBHP is a 70% solution of t-butyl hydroperoxide in water.

Application Details:

As a tertiary alkyl hydroperoxide, NOROX TBHP is a convenient source of free radicals for the polymerization of vinyl monomers when the presence of water can be tolerated.

Norox® TAPB

Chemical Name:
tertiary-amyl peroxybenzoate
CAS Numbers:
4511-39-1

Norox TAPB is a liquid peroxyester product.
