International “Year of Chemistry” - 2011
2011 is the international “Year of Chemistry” - a worldwide celebration of the achievements of chemistry and its contributions to the well-being of humankind. This celebration and recognition comes at a much needed time.
One of the most important areas is to dramatically increase support with education for the development of our future scientists and chemistry-related professions. When a student is looking for advice for a future career – chemistry related jobs are a “no brainer” to make a positive difference and likely be well rewarded. The need for future scientists and related professions will not be matched by the current number of students. Chemistry is opportunity!
There is virtually nothing in our lives that has not been touched (and improved!) by chemistry. With the recent global economic recession, a much needed reminder and highlight has been placed on the importance of a strong manufacturing base and innovation. The US and Europe lead the world with the cleanest and safest manufacturing, producing the highest quality products. We must continue to advance these key strengths for the good of the world, our nations, local communities and especially in the field of chemistry.
Chemistry plays a critical role making our lives better with high quality products, more effective medicines, greener products, improved energy efficiency, a cleaner environment and high value jobs with good benefits. The value and role of chemistry-related careers, chemical & pharmaceutical companies, and the chemical industry in general is greater now more than ever. So, it is extremely appropriate that 2011 is the international “Year of Chemistry.”
In the spirit of the Year of Chemistry, Syrgis® has developed the Syrging Ahead™ Award to recognize those companies who are best at using chemistry to surge ahead with advancements in safety, environmental stewardship, product quality, innovation, or manufacturing efficiency (or other areas that make a positive difference in our lives and communities). We’ve created this special program to recognize our employees and our customers using chemistry for the well-being of mankind.
Here is to “Good People with Good Chemistry” and the “Year of Chemistry!”

Environmental Chemistry characterizes pollution of aquatic, terrestrial, and atmospheric ecosystems and research is conducted to offer information to resource managers about source of pollution, exposure, trophic transfer and environmental fate. Custom analytical methods are developed to decipher complex mixtures of emerging contaminants, endocrine disruptors, toxic elements and persistent organic pollutants.
Reflexive sampling methods such as the SPMD, POCIS, SLMD and PIMS were invented at Chemistry Environmental resource center and are now used worldwide to assess pollutant exposure Environmental chemistry topics. Environmental chemistry is the revise of the sources, reactions, transport, effects, and fates of chemical kind in water, soil, and air environments, and the effects of technology thereon.
Environmental chemists are dependable for analyzing the affects of chemicals on soil, air and water environments according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics they are also responsible for devising solutions to answer environmental problems The next 3 years the environmental industry is expected to grow at a 2 to 3% rate per year in the United States, and at an 9 to11% rate per year outside the United states. Environmental industrycan be divided into 2 groups
Lithium carbonate high purity
As a supplier of lithium carbonate, it is our principle to make better life and a better world. lithium carbonte is raw material for lithium-ion battery, which is a green energy for autos, cars, electronic divices, lithium carbonate also used for fusion flux, medicine, glass and ceramic, etc.
